DURATION: 08/21 - 07/23
Easy-to-clean surfaces are playing an increasingly important role in today’s world. With a growing number and larger HMI interfaces (displays/touchscreens), cleanability is becoming increasingly important.
The demands placed on surfaces are becoming more stringent, surfaces no longer serve solely to look good, they are becoming more interactive. Cell phones, laptops, coffee machines, kitchen appliances, navigation and multimedia devices in vehicles, but also touch control panels of machine controls are finding their way into our lives more and more.
This places additional demands on the surfaces. In addition to the visual appearance, hygiene and haptics, which are important for the touch function, must not be impaired even after long-term use.
The Easy to Clean surfaces joint project is intended as a forum for the project partners to investigate the required properties on surfaces. Tests are performed on various systems. The studies will put the Easy to Clean systems to the test and analyze the test methods for their applicability and the significance of the results.
