MATERIALS, PROPERTIES, SUSTAINABILITY
Within component production, the material factor represents the main aspect not only in terms of cost, but also in terms of energy. Therefore, the increase in sustainability must inevitably also lead via the use of materials. Establishing a circular economy is of course an option here, but it is not the solution for every company or product.
The use of bio-based and/or biodegradable polymers, possibly in combination with the circular economy, can be a solution in particular.
But what materials and raw material manufacturers are there? What properties do these materials have and to what extent can properties be adapted and where are the limits?
Enabling project participants to judge for themselves which materials can be used for their own products and whether they increase the sustainability of the product.
