Our research is not an end in itself – it is geared toward specific challenges encountered in practice. As an industrial research center, we work closely with companies and partners from industry and science to develop innovative solutions for materials, processes, and products. With interdisciplinary teams, modern infrastructure, and over 30 years of experience, we bring research into application in a targeted manner – effectively, with funding, and close to the needs of industry.

The projects at our research center are funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, the European Union, the Central Innovation Program for SMEs (ZIM), and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
