Material and damage analysis

Finding solutions to a problem within a plastics processing procedure requires a broad knowledge of the available analysis methods, their significance and limitations. This requires a wide range of expertise in different domains. In materials science, process technology, physics, organic and analytical chemistry, among others.

Recycling

For use in demanding and high-quality applications, it is necessary to use well-qualified material to ensure consistent component quality.

Read here how we can support you in this area.

Material databases

In addition to testing services, we also offer plastics databases for various analysis methods. Depending on the method, the databases contain analysis data for more than 1000 current common plastics, including biomaterials and materials for 3D printing. These databases can be obtained exclusively from our cooperation partners.

  • Further information on the FTIR and Raman spectroscopy database can be found at Bruker Optics
  • Further information on the DSC database can be found at Netzsch Gerätebau

Interlaboratory tests

Interlaboratory tests make the significance of test methods measurable – and show how reliable analytics really are. In the interplay of material knowledge, process understanding and analytical depth, they provide a sound basis for continuous quality and optimization. We have been offering our proficiency tests in cooperation with QD Labs since 2024.
