ZIM innovation networks
The Central Innovation Program for SMEs (ZIM) is one of the most important funding programs of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) for promoting innovation in small and medium-sized enterprises. It supports small and medium-sized enterprises, craft businesses, young companies, and entrepreneurial freelancers in implementing innovative projects. As a nationwide program open to all technologies and industries, ZIM offers a wide range of opportunities to sustainably increase innovative strength and competitiveness. Funding is provided for ambitious research and development projects with a high degree of technological innovation and good market prospects – from new products and services to improved production processes. Companies can carry out their research and development activities either as individual projects or in cooperation with research institutions or other companies.
