The large number of different types of plastic available on the market today often makes it difficult for product developers to choose the best material for their application from an economic and technical point of view. We have been offering competent material consulting through systematic material selection on behalf of our customers for many years. It makes no difference whether you need a material for product development or material conversion. The latter in particular often results from availability problems or component failure. In addition, we can advise you in the following areas: grade minimization, material availability, more sustainable plastics based on renewable raw materials or recycled materials.

The Materials Technology/New Materials department supports you in your individual material developments with its many years of experience using compounding technology. We are the right contact for functional materials for technical applications as well as for biopolymers and are at your disposal with our expertise for your projects. Industrial and research projects have enabled us to focus on the following areas in particular: Thermal conductivity, flame retardancy, EMC (electromagnetic compatibility), antibacterial materials, tribology, acoustics, recycled materials, bioplastics, natural fibers, renewable raw materials and shape memory polymers.
